• Membership: Persons holding a valid SHAPE ID may register at the Circulation Desk for library membership. A Library Membership Application is available for download here.
• Overdue Materials: Patrons with overdue materials may not use the library until all overdue materials are returned or renewed. There are no fines.
• Holds & Interlibrary Loans: The library can request items that are currently checked out or that are owned by other U.S. Army Libraries in Europe. Patrons may also browse for items via the online catalog and place up to five requests at a time after creating an online account by following the directions listed here. Patrons will be notified via e-mail when the items arrive.

Services

• Computers: Computers with access to the Internet, e-mail and Microsoft Office are available for patron use. Members must check in at the Circulation Desk in order to use a computer.
• Wireless Internet Access: Free wireless Internet access is available for members. Members must check in at the Circulation Desk in order to obtain the password and use the wireless service.
• Scanning: Documents may be scanned by staff and e-mailed to patrons free of charge.
• Printing & Photocopying: Black and white prints from the computers cost €0,05 per page. Black and white photocopying is available at the Circulation Desk for €0,15 per single-sided and €0,20 per double-sided copy.
• Reference & Research Assistance: is available in person, by phoning DSN 423-5631 or CIV 065 44 5631 or via e-mail at shape.library@eur.army.mil.
• Online Subscription Databases: Study for the GRE or the DANTES, get a wiring diagram for your car, research a paper for a class or read up-to-date market data and medical studies, all using the library's online databases located at http://www.library.eur.army.mil/research/. Ask at the Reference Desk for help in learning how to utilize these great tools.

Programs

• Preschool Story Time: Tuesdays at 1615 and Wednesdays at 1000.
• Book Discussion Groups: Page Turners, for adults, meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 1730. The Illuminati, for preteens and teens, on the third Thursday of each month at 1630.
• Summer Reading Program: Every July and August.
• Children's and Teen's Programs: Holiday activities and other special programs.
