Selling to EU Citizen/Dealership

Seller has to give following documents:

  • ‘Certificate of Conformity' to European/Belgian regulations (if the dealership requires). You may find this document from the dealership of original purchase or your vehicle manufacturer (a fee may apply).
  • Current registration certificate of the purchased vehicle.

Before selling you have to "clear" your Vehicle:

  • Invoice/Bill of Sale. You MUST have the bill of sale stamped by the Belgian Customs office, bldg 210, rm 111A. Standard forms are available from the Central Processing Branch-Registration Section (CEP-RGN), bldg 210, rm 109-110.

For vehicle import tax status T1 or T2 (refer to your registration card) you will be required to "regularise” the vehicle before you sell. Check the Vehicle Import Tax Status page for more information.

Last, you MUST de-register the vehicle.
