Every SHAPE sponsor MUST out-process to ensure their files are completed and closed.
This is a very important process which can cause a lot of problems if not done correctly. You can contact your NMR or support unit, or visit the Fast Line (Bldg 210 Room 108) if you have any questions.
READ THROUGH ALL STEPS.
To outprocess, you must complete the following:
1. Start preparing at least ten working days prior to departure, and begin to outprocess at least seven days before leaving. This is necessary to correct any problems that arise.
2. Be sure that you have all required documents before you begin to outprocess. (SHAPE ID and Protocol or Belgian ID of sponsor and all dependents, ration cards, security badges, vehicle plates, proofs of payments, etc.)
- If any IDs have been stolen, please provide appropriate Police Report.
3. Download SHAPE FORM 52, which is the official outprocessing document, and complete the top section with your personal details. If you have any questions about the form, please come to the Fast Line, Bldg 210, Room 108, between 0845 and 1300.
4. Make appointments, through the SHAPE2Day website, with Housing and in the following order with:
- VAT/TVA office,
- Customs office.
You must visit these offices to complete Section II of the outprocessing form.
5. Start your tour of all required services mentioned on the form. Each service will verify if you have turned in all received items or paid all bills.
6. The final stop of your outprocessing tour will be the Fast Line at Building 210. You will outprocess between the hours of 0845 and 1300, so plan accordingly. Book an appointment using the blue button below. Come prepared to turn in your SHAPE ID, as this is your last stop before leaving SHAPE.
