The SHAPE International Cycling Club (SICC) was formed to promote all forms of cycling (road and off road) within the SHAPE locality. Membership is open to all SHAPE ID holders 16 and older. Our goal is to foster positive relationships among cyclists from all countries present at SHAPE. Members meet for group rides every Tuesday and Thursday from April to September. The club also offers a 40K ride non-members, newcomers and neophytes on Wednesday that is supported by an experienced member of SICC. All rides depart from SHAPE Main Gym @ 1800. During the wintertime the Club rides only during the week ends, according to weather condition and offers a specific winter training programme that is executed in the SHAPE Main Gym – spinning room - every Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, SICC participates in a number of events throughout Belgium (Tour des Flanders, Liege-Bastogne-Liege; Paris-Roubaix; etc) and also organizes rides throughout Europe (the Vosges, Alps) aiming to present SHAPE as a positive fitness model to the local Belgian and European Community. Every year in March, the Club organizes a week’s training Camp in Majorca to kick start the season and to build relationships among all members of the Club.
