New Vehicle

(< 6 Months AND < 6000 Km)


1. SHAPE ID 
Only AMIS I.D. card holders (Sponsors) with relevant privileges are authorized.

2. A valid International Motor Insurance Card (Green card) requested by your Insurance company, with:

  • Name (must be in the sponsor’s name)
  • Expiration Date (must have more than 31 days of coverage from the day of registration)
  • Chassis/VIN number
  • Address in Belgium (APO, BFPO Boxes are allowed)
3. Customs document (302 or T1) or Shipping document (CMR)
Proof that the vehicle was shipped into EU and arrived in Belgium.
T1 document must be signed by Customs office before registering the vehicle at the RGN Office!

4. Demande d'immatriculation (Pink form): 
This document will normally be issued by RGN Office. In case a special small plate is requested, a stamp from the CT station must be filled in box “X10" of the document in question (Pink form).

5. Original invoice, with:
  • Dealer's name, address and VAT number
  • Purchaser's full name (the name of the sponsor, Entitled "SHAPE AMIS” I.D. card holder)
  • Invoice number
  • The date of purchase
  • Chassis/VIN number
  • The price (T.V.A./V.A.T. exclusive or inclusive)
  • Sponsor's address (must be a Belgian private address)

6. Export/Temporary Registration document (if applicable) on the sponsor's name (i.e. QQ plates)


Used Vehicle

1. SHAPE ID
Only AMIS I.D. card holders (Sponsors) with relevant privileges are authorized.

2. A valid registration document (Normal or Temporary/Export) of the country outside EU (on the Sponsor's name)
(*) For US , you must also provide the title of the vehicle or the Letter of the Bank that permits the owner to ship the vehicle to Belgium.

3. A valid International Motor Insurance Card (Green card) requested by your Insurance company, with:
  • Name (must be in the sponsor’s name)
  • Expiration Date (must have more than 31 days of coverage from the day of registration)
  • Chassis/VIN number
  • Address in Belgium (APO, BFPO Boxes are allowed)

4. Customs document (302 or T1) or Shipping document (CMR)

5. Belgian Controle Technique (CT) 
Applicable if the vehicle is more than 4 year's "old" or if the Registration document is not on the Sponsor's name. Inspection approved document, green in colour (CT certificate is valid for 2 months)!

6. Demande d'immatriculation (Pink form): 
This document will be issued by CT Station after inspection. In case a special small plate is requested, a stamp from the CT station must be filled in box “X10" of the document in question. Validity of Pink form the same as CT certificate (2 months).

7. Original invoice, with:
  • Dealer's name, address and VAT number
  • Purchaser's full name (the name of the sponsor, Entitled "SHAPE AMIS” I.D. card holder)
  • Invoice number
  • The date of purchase
  • Chassis/VIN number
  • The price (T.V.A./V.A.T. exclusive or inclusive)
  • Address (must be a Belgian private address)
