The SHAPE International Angling Club (SIAC) is open to military and civilian members of SHAPE, NATO, organizations in support of SHAPE, and their dependants. Full membership of the Club, currently 150 Euros per year, includes the member’s immediate family at no additional cost. For potential younger members, there is also "Junior” membership and "Student” rates for dependants who are in full time education away from SHAPE, details of which can be obtained from the Club Secretary. SIAC offers all year-round coarse fishing in our well-stocked lake set in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding in a rented lake located near the village of St Denis, approximately 4 kilometers from SHAPE. Species in the lake include carp, tench, bream, pike, walleye, roach, perch and rudd. Our aim is to cater for all anglers. With few exceptions, in the interests of conservation the SIAC operates a "Catch and Release” policy, which is strictly enforced (except for Walleyes). For those who like to fish during the hours of darkness, night fishing is permitted. Newcomers to the sport will always find other Club members ready and willing to offer advice and help on the best kind of tackle and bait to use. In addition to fun and family angling, this thriving Club also provides the opportunity for members to participate in organized matches. As the lake is private, no State fishing permits are needed.
