In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. USA Girl Scouts Overseas serves American girls living overseas and girls attending American or international schools.
Volunteer
Girl Scout volunteers are as diverse as the girls they serve! At SHAPE Girl Scouts, there is a position available that is perfect for you—whether you have a lot of time to give or only a few hours here and there. You do NOT have to have a daughter in Girl Scouts to volunteer with us. Volunteers may be college students, men and women in our community, and active-duty military members. If you are 18 or older and are committed to encouraging young women to learn new things and to succeed, then we would love to have you volunteer with us!
If you are affiliated with either Chievres Air Base or SHAPE, are a girl in Kindergarten to 12th grade, or an adult interested in supporting our girls and helping them build courage, confidence, and character, then we are the organization for YOU!
